Spice Girls- Also originating out of England, their first album came out in 1996, their first album(Spice)has gone platinum in Canada and around the world. They received many awards for the album Spice and their second album Spice World. They have also made a hit movie and have done a world tour. In May 1998, Geri left the group, from their they continued on without her. They have 10 number one hits including Wannabe, Say You'll Be There, 2 Become 1, Who Do You Think You Are, Mama, Spice Up Your Life, Stop, Too Much, Viva Forever and Goodbye. They have the record for the most consecutive #1 hit for the Christmas charts. They did it with 2 Become 1 in 1996, Too Much in 1997, and Goodbye in 1998. Mel B released her solo album called Hot. Mel C's album is called Northern Star and it will be more of a Rock and Roll, R&B, acoustic album. Mel does a song with Lisa Lopez from TLC called Never Be the Same Again. The Spice Girls performed their new song called "Holler" at the 2000 Brit Awards....they also received the outstanding achievement award...u know for the great groups that made a contribution to the music industry!!The Spice Girls have declared July 1st, Girl Power Day.The Spice Girls new album is due out on Nov 7, 2000. With the first single to be a double A side with Let Love Lead the Way and Holler. The new album will be called "Forever"! The Spice Girls added there 9th #1 hit with Holler and Let Love Lead the Way. This is the highest achievement of a British all girl group! Emma has said there will be no more singles from the Forever cd and no tour in plan. She has said "that the album has come to a natural end".
